Job Description Summary
Provides security and safety services in all areas of the hospital, hospital properties and off‑campus sites. Creates and maintains a safe, secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Provides guidance, way‑finding and customer services as primary contact for site visitors.
Responsibilities and Duties90%
• Operates and maintains weapons scanning equipment.
• Enforces facility policies (parking, visitation, drug, tobacco, weapons, etc.).
• Monitors closed‑circuit television and responds to emerging situations.
• Intervenes in confrontations and documents incidents.
• Demonstrates understanding of emergency procedures, alarm response, evacuation, and disaster plans.
• Works independently to determine appropriate response.

• Performs any function and/or training assigned by leadership.
• Floats to other locations as needed.
• Valid state driver’s license and BLS certification required.
• Demonstrates computer, MSDS, safety knowledge and Ohio Revised Code understanding.
• Strong communication skills.
• Capable of completing and maintaining certifications.
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- BLS certified (American Heart Association)
- Driver’s license – Department of Motor Vehicles
