Are you passionate about helping older adults? Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults in our community? The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is seeking a Transportation Driver to drive clients to and from medical appointments.
The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is a large, 501c3 nonprofit organization serving Fairfield County. The agency serves as the county’s office on aging providing programs and services to improve health, connection, and independent living for those 60 and older living in Fairfield County.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Provide door-to-door transportation services to older adults approved for participation in the program
- Assist clients entering and exiting the transportation vehicle
- Maintain accurate daily records on all clients transported
- Complete Defensive Driver training
- Maintain CPR/First-Aid certification
- Maintain DRIVE Train certification and other credentials as outlined in COAAA specifications for transportation providers
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving a vehicle
- Experience assisting and/or transporting older adults, preferred
