Corrugate Associate

ABM Industries is seeking a Corrugate Associate to support facility operations by collecting, sorting, and baling cardboard and recyclable materials. In this role, you will safely operate compactors and material-handling equipment, stage and load bales for pickup, and maintain clean, organized dock and storage areas. You will follow safety and recycling procedures, complete basic documentation, and coordinate with janitorial and dock teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and stage corrugated cardboard and recyclable materials from designated areas
• Operate balers, compactors, and basic material-handling equipment safely
• Build, tie, and move bales; prepare loads for vendor pickup or transport
• Maintain clean, organized dock, compactor, and recycling areas
• Follow ABM and client safety procedures, including proper PPE use
• Inspect equipment visually and report any issues or safety hazards
• Complete basic logs or tickets for loads, equipment use, or pickups
• Coordinate with janitorial, dock, and facilities teams for timely material flow
• Follow recycling, waste segregation, and environmental guidelines
• Support general housekeeping and light labor tasks as assigned
