As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and analytical Buyer – Inventory & Import Specialist to play a key role in managing inventory, purchasing raw materials, and making informed buying decisions that support our long-term growth.

About the Position

The Buyer – Inventory & Import Specialist is responsible for overseeing inventory control and purchasing for all raw materials used in production, including ingredients and packaging components. This role requires sound judgment and confidence making purchasing decisions that balance cost, supply risk, and operational needs.

The Buyer will analyze usage trends, forecast demand, evaluate market and commodity conditions, negotiate with suppliers, and make calculated purchasing decisions that support company growth, optimize warehousing, and ensure uninterrupted supply. This role works closely with production, warehouse, logistics, and sales teams, as well as domestic and overseas suppliers.

What You’ll Do

  • Own inventory planning, purchasing, and replenishment for ingredients and packaging
  • Forecast material needs based on usage, production, and growth trends
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and lead times with suppliers
  • Monitor commodity markets and make informed purchasing decisions
  • Manage overseas supplier communication and import documentation (FSVP)
  • Track inventory, usage, and costs using Excel and ERP tools
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, warehouse, logistics, and sales teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field)
  • 3–5 years of experience in buying, inventory planning, or procurement
  • Experience in food, ingredients, commodities, or CPG manufacturing
  • Organized, analytical, and confident making purchasing decisions
  • Strong Excel and ERP skills with a data-driven, analytical approach to decision-making
  • Familiarity with imports, overseas suppliers, and FSVP requirements
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and level-headed in managing priorities, risk, and pricing volatility
