Overview
College Tutor positions at El Rancho Unified School District (Various Sites), available for full‑time college students. Salary is $16.90 per hour, part time, 10‑month work year. Responsibilities- Work with individual students or small groups to plan, organize, and implement instructional programs under teacher guidance.
- Assist in physical education, fine arts, vocational and industrial arts, and other areas to supplement instruction for students with specific needs.
- Conduct basic skill development and concept instruction.
- Administer pre/post placement tests and assist with daily program development.
- Record and monitor student progress, operate equipment, and utilize instructional materials.
- Build rapport with students and motivate learning through an understanding of physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
- Perform related duties as required by the teacher or district.
- High school graduation or successful completion of a G.E.D. test.
- Registration as a full‑time college student (12 semester units or equivalent).
- Good English usage, spelling, and mathematics.
- Fluency in a second language desirable; some knowledge of specialized fields desirable.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with adults and students.
- Work with individuals and small groups.
- Follow oral and written directions.
- Recent paid or volunteer experience working with students desirable.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Valid California Driver’s License; use of a car desired.
