What You'll Do:
Feit Electric is seeking a detail‑oriented and execution‑focused Buyer to support purchasing, supply planning, and inbound coordination for assigned product categories. Reporting to the Senior Buyer , this role is responsible for ensuring inventory is ordered, produced, and delivered in alignment with demand plans, service level targets, and cost objectives.
The Buyer plays a critical role in ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time by managing purchase orders, monitoring inbound shipments, and balancing inventory between Feit warehouses to support fill rate and service level targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing and Supplier Execution
- Issue and manage purchase orders for assigned product categories, ensuring accuracy of quantities, costs, lead times, and delivery dates.
- Maintain PO data integrity and ensure timely updates in the ERP system.
- Communicate regularly with overseas vendors to manage production schedules, shipment readiness, and delivery commitments.
- Support cost discipline through adherence to approved pricing and purchasing guidelines.
- Perform price comparisons across suppliers, calculate landed cost analysis for air/ocean shipments and monitor tariffs and freight variances.
- Negotiate lead times and capacity planning with key suppliers.
Supply Planning and Inventory Support
- Recommend replenishment buys through weekly supply planning using Stock
IQ, ERP inventory data, and order review reports. - Monitor inventory levels across Feit warehouses and rebalance inventory between locations as needed to support fill rate and months of supply targets.
- Monitor safety stock levels and recommend changes as needed.
- Assist with production planning and shipment expediting to minimize stockouts, delays, or excess inventory.
Inbound Coordination and Visibility
- Monitor inbound shipments and flag urgent or at‑risk containers.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to prioritize inbound loads when needed.
- Maintain and update vendor shipping schedules on a daily and weekly basis.
Performance and Cross‑Functional Support
- Own assigned buying category KPIs including fill rate, months of supply, on‑time shipment performance, and inventory health by warehouse.
- Identify supply risks, imbalances, delays, or data issues and elevate appropriately with proposed solutions.
- Partner closely with Demand Planning, Inbound Logistics, Finance, and Warehouse teams to support overall supply chain execution.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
