Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Overview

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, gathering patient data, and administering medication. The LVN verifies medication orders for Medical Assistants within the LVN's scope of practice.

• Graduation from an accredited LVN school and a current LVN license issued by the State of California.
• A minimum requirement of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or higher, following American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross guidelines.
• Experience and knowledge regarding the physical, mental, and social needs of patients.
• Bilingual ability in English plus Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese, depending on location (preferred).

• 1 year of patient care experience in outpatient or inpatient settings, skilled nursing, home health, or clinic environments.
• IV certification.
• Wound care experience.

Pay for this position starts at $31.93 per hour. Compensation may vary based on budget, experience, skills, education, licensure, and certifications. The role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or incentives.
