Part- Time Assistant Golf Professional

Pico Rivera Golf Course located in Pico Rivera, CA, offers an Assistant Golf Professional position in partnership with Troon. The role is ideal for an individual eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused environment.

Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour + opportunity for commissions and service charges.

The Assistant Golf Professional assists with all daily operations, including:

• Managing sales, merchandise, and point of sale applications.
• Assisting with handicap and tee sheet applications.
• Performing guest relations and acting as a golf shop or outside service associate.
• Supporting tee time and golf shop operations.

• Administer point-of-sale revisions for green fee, merchandise, and member/guest billing; coordinate with Accounting for policy updates.
• Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform checkout, and process payments; resolve discrepancies.
• Promote club golf activities.
• Create lesson plans and provide individual and group instruction.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, well‑stocked golf shop; assist retail buyers and shop assistants with merchandising.
• Prepare for golf outings, coordinating scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, and pairing sheets.
• Monitor member scores, report handicaps to USGA, and bill members.
• Follow established opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with associate training.
• Incorporate safe work practices.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Associate’s degree (AA) or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; equivalently, a combination of education and experience.

• Regularly stand, walk, and sit. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch.
• Use hands frequently; reach with hands and arms.
• Talk or hear frequently; taste or smell occasionally.

• Occasional work in wet or humid conditions. Frequently work outdoors under moderate noise levels.

• Current PGA/LGPA Membership.

• Ability to read and speak English is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems.
