Role Description The Fleet Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role located in Pico Rivera, CA, responsible for overseeing daily fleet operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation services. This role coordinates dispatch activities, monitors vehicle utilization, and supports compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Fleet Supervisor collaborates with drivers, maintenance teams, and operations staff to schedule repairs, minimize downtime, and optimize route performance.
Daily responsibilities include supervising fleet personnel, resolving operational issues, maintaining accurate records, and communicating updates to management and other stakeholders. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on safety, reliability, and service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, performance monitoring, and coaching.
- Experience in fleet operations and fleet management, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Effective communication skills for working with drivers, maintenance staff, and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and scheduling to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
- Understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and company operating procedures.
- Ability to analyze operational data, identify issues, and implement practical solutions.
- Proficiency with fleet management or logistics software and basic computer applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics or transportation is a plus.
- Previous experience in a transportation, logistics, or freight environment preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
