Engineer II

Description

• Assist in designing experiments to provide data-based conclusions about a process or product performance.
• Conduct analytical techniques with the ability to interpret results for project recommendations.
• Write technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.
• Develop test methods for evaluation of new products.
• Support projects at the work location that require the assigned effort or task completion.
• Implement process improvements and monitor for efficacy.
• Assist in developing specifications for a product and/or process.
• Assist with implementing corrective actions (CAPA) with QA where applicable.
• Assist in equipment IQ/OQ/PQ validations.
• Assist in training process technicians and operators.
• Aid in writing OQ/PQ process validations.
• Operate processing equipment in a specific process area.
• Conduct risk assessment activities such as FMEA.
• Assist in the creation of publishable research findings in the form of abstracts, papers, and grants.
• Train in understanding patent language where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field of science or engineering

• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to think creatively, critically, and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver on time for projects
• Perform basic statistical analysis of results
• Personal computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and specialized applications
• Ability to handle confidential business information

• Prior exposure to melt extrusion processing is advantageous.
• Resorbable materials experience (processing)
