- Lead the Member Relationship Center’s service delivery strategy and manage the delivery of an extraordinary service experience for all members and staff.
- Supervise and coach Center employees: conduct training, certification, regular/yearly reviews, and development plans for advancement.
- Interact directly with members to meet their needs, educate them on available services (including products, online banking, and technology), and encourage increased use of the cooperative.
- Establish expectations, hold regular staff meetings, and recognize successes to improve performance.
- Ensure the Center operates efficiently and reliably, complies with applicable laws and regulations, and maintains appropriate operating controls.
- Support budgeting, reporting, and operating plans for the Member Relationship Center and related projects.
- Represent the credit union at community and public events, and support other Centers as needed.
- Maintain service quality, ensuring member satisfaction surveys reflect high satisfaction and low complaints.
- Manage staffing to meet member demands with minimal overstaffing or turnover; maintain a well-trained and certified workforce.
- Complete performance reviews on time and support coaching, observations, and interactions.
- Publish service schedules within guidelines, managing staffing coverage and cost controls.
- Prepare and analyze reports to monitor performance, recognize top performers, and address issues promptly.
- Apply operating procedures and company policies consistently and maintain confidentiality.
- Foster a positive, motivating, and fun workplace for members and employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years in the retail financial services industry, including at least two years in a supervisory position.
- Business management experience: process management, operational analysis, report writing, presentations, and technology solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to interview, coach, and develop staff within a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the credit union’s core processing systems.
- Valid state driver’s license at all times; bonding required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) or ability to earn within 24 months of employment.
