Role DescriptionThe Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenville, SC. This role is responsible for managing and reviewing bookkeeping activities, preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, and supporting tax planning and advisory engagements. The Senior Accountant will reconcile accounts, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and accounting standards. Day-to-day work includes communicating with clients, answering accounting and tax questions, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and mentoring junior team members.
The role also involves collaborating with firm leadership on complex engagements and contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of client service.
- Demonstrated experience in general accounting, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as Quick Books Online or similar platforms, and and strong Excel skills.
- Experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and maintain professional relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a public accounting environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA license or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in a CPA firm or public accounting setting, particularly working with small businesses and individual clients, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Greenville, SC, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented culture.
- Paid Time Off (PTO):
The Employee shall be entitled to fifteen (10) days of paid time off annually, to be accrued and taken in accordance with the Company's standard policies. - 401(k) Match:
The Company will match 100% of the first 3% of Total Compensation contributed by the - Employee, and 50% of the next 2% of Total Compensation contributed by the Employee.
- Paid Holidays:
Employee shall receive fully paid Holiday Time Off for New Year's Day, Labor Day, - Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.
