Job Description
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for ordering and shelving parts in the warehouse and storerooms for the maintenance team. Additionally, this individual is responsible for tracking inventory and inspection of parts for future usage.
Position Responsibilities – Essential- Monitor condition of all spare parts on an ongoing basis
- Ensure spare parts inventory is received, maintained, and distributed according to specified procedures
- Keep inventory and all related records organized and orderly for ease of retrieval
- Prepare and audit spare parts requisitions for purchase
- Assign item numbers and locations to spare parts requisitions
- Coordinate activities for parts organization, issuing and receiving
- Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety‑first mindset and approach during execution of activities
- Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, Green Wood has designated this as a “safety‑sensitive” position.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong work ethic with proven ability to support a positive team environment
- Ability to complete necessary training and follow safety policies, procedures, and processes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work and sense of urgency
- Ability to hold themselves accountable for their areas of responsibility and for their actions
- Willingness and desire to perform responsibilities accurately and efficiently with a high level of customer service
- Ability to successfully obtain a forklift certification (both written and practical tests)
- Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
- Advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within related field
- Experience using 5S strategies
