Quality Technician (3rd shift) Summary/Purpose
The quality assurance technician will support manufacturing and follow policies and procedures related to successful operations.
Essential Duties and AccountabilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
- Perform measurements of components and assemblies
- Perform heat treat inspection including cutting, mounting, polishing and hardness testing
- Perform weld testing/inspection
- Performs receiving inspection when needed
- Assist in problem solving for nonconformances
- Conduct basic PM and cleaning (5S) duties
- Others duties as assigned by management
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Skills and Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Metrology and gage calibration experience
- Metallurgy basics and heat treat testing
- Problems solving capabilities (especially related to manufacturing)
- Knowledge of GD&T and SPCProduct and performance testing
- Willing/able to learn to operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with an emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, ISO 14001, safety/environmental, 5S and productivity
- Ability to understand and demonstrate standard work and support company policy
- Proficient communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work in a team environmental and be flexible
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- Work shift as assigned and overtime is required, as needed.
- Will be required to do the following throughout the shift: standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching above and below shoulders, moving left to right repetitively, grasping, and fine finger dexterity.
- May be required to lift during shift up to 40 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required with this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields.
