Job  - Data Collection Aide (Two Positions)

Agency: Department of Transportation / Division of Planning & Engineering

Location: Pierre

Minimum Salary: $17.70 per hour

Closing Date: March 31, 2025

• Seasonal positions can be filled prior to closing date. The normal summer season is approximately May through September. Opportunities may exist to begin earlier and work later. Seasonal employees are paid only for hours worked.

• Drive a specialized testing vehicle and assist in the collection of pavement condition data.
• Drive shadow vehicle and flag traffic in testing or survey zone on highways.
• Drive through the State and travel for regular overnight stays.
• Work week is Monday through Thursday.

• Must be 18 years old by the date of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outside and perform limited physical labor.
• Considerable overnight travel required.
