High School Special Education Tutor, RIggs
Applications will be accepted beginning Monday, July 6, 2026 12:00 AM (Central Standard Time).
A paraprofessional who works with children, individually or in small groups, to meet the educational needs as outlined in the Individual Education Plan developed in accordance with state and federal statutes regarding education for children in need of special or prolonged assistance.
Educational LevelBachelor's Degree in Education from a four‑year college, or an Associate Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience working with children or teaching experience.
Experience DesiredPrior service work or training in an educational setting.
Physical RequirementsRequires eye‑hand, mind‑eye coordination, physical dexterity; ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, talk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Other RequirementsDemonstrated interest and commitment toward the welfare of young people; positive human relations and communication skills toward adults and children; ability to relate and work as a contributing member of a team; proficiency in using a wide range of teaching strategies; effective communication skills; skills in word processing, operating office machines and audio‑visual equipment are helpful.
This position is for the 2026‑27 school year. All positions are open until filled.
