Responsibilities Budgets and Efficiency- Lead the adoption of energy‑efficient practices to enhance the design of cooling systems and reduce energy loss.
- Consult and evaluate self‑build programs to assess efficiency.
- Communicate architectural trade‑offs using key metrics like feasibility, performance, cost, risk, and timelines to promote energy efficiency upgrades.
- Leverage broad knowledge to guide team activities effectively.
- Drive next‑gen mechanical designs for OCI’s gigawatt‑scale infrastructure.
- Facilitate infrastructure capacity delivery for Oracle Cloud services.
- Architect solutions to support capacity growth across all cloud offerings.
- Respond to emergencies related to data center builds and construction.
- Oversee investigations and troubleshooting efforts for design‑related issues.
- Research new designs, materials, and construction methods for data center infrastructure and equipment.
- Identify opportunities for intellectual property development to enhance OCI’s competitive position in cloud computing.
- Develop optimal components to meet the demands of future OCI fleets.
- Evaluate new power technologies and cooling systems that support high‑density AI products.
- Ensure documentation standards for OCI data center facilities.
- Monitor product evaluations to uphold quality benchmarks in new sites and deployments.
- Implement design standards for maximum reliability and facility efficiency.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with third‑party vendors, internal teams, and engineering organizations.
- Align team objectives with program goals and prioritize deliverables based on OCI strategies.
