The Senior Solutions Architect plays a critical role in our customer success. This position entails focusing on integrating the EDB Postgres Platform and other essential tools within the Postgre

SQL ecosystem into customers' enterprise infrastructures, creating robust and reliable solutions while providing technical expertise and leadership to both customers and colleagues.

• In‑depth knowledge of Postgre
  
  SQL replication techniques
• Postgre
  
  SQL configuration and performance optimization
• Security and Authentication practices, including Kerberos, Active Directory, or LDAP
• High Availability, Backup, Recovery, and Storage Management in PostgreSQL
• Configuration Management Tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Cloud solutions (public and private) such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Open Shift

• Collaborating with customers to help them recognize the value of EDB's open source‑based database platform
• Creating, articulating, and documenting an array of reference architectures that demonstrate the versatility of the EDB Postgres Platform across OLTP and OLAP applications in various deployment scenarios
• Supporting EDB's field teams (sales engineers and account executives) in complex technical and architectural challenges
• Collaborating with EDB partners to develop reference architectures that showcase EDB Postgres in conjunction with partner capabilities
• Mentoring junior team members, facilitating their technical skill development
• Publishing blogs, white papers, and contributions to conferences
• Working with Product Development and Management to enhance EDB Postgres Platform capabilities
• Partnering with Product Marketing to showcase the features of the EDB Product Platform and create technical marketing materials

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in developing and deploying complex solutions in business settings
• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable technical requirements
• Hands‑on experience with advanced deployment models (containers, virtual machines, hypervisors, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, etc.)
• Extensive practical experience with PostgreSQL
• Prior background in a consulting or professional services environment
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 20%

• Strong understanding of vector databases
• Experience with major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Proficiency in additional languages
