- Certified Physician Assistant – National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) – Must be licensed and qualified upon hire.

A Brief OverviewProvides appropriate medical care to all patients by assessing physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients to develop a plan of care.
What You Will Do- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice.
- Provide medical services and health education to patients and family members. Effectively contribute to the health education of individuals and groups and apply appropriate methods designed to increase each person’s motivation to assume responsibility for their own health care.
- Consult and collaborate with the physician in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients.
- Perform necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to written, approved protocols and appropriate licensing and administrative authorities.
- Interpret information gathered during the diagnostic process and consult with the physician as appropriate regarding abnormal health assessment findings to establish an appropriate plan of care.
- Assure that appropriate referrals are made for patients.
- Provide quality care for patients, demonstrate appropriate health, safety, and aseptic practices. Recognize and react appropriately to environmental safety factors related to patient care. Effectively provide patient instruction related to the environment of care and safety standards.
- Effectively contribute to the development and attainment of physician practice goals.
- Practice according to written, approved protocols and appropriate licensing and administrative authorities. Understand, apply, and support practice policies, procedures, goals, and standards.
- Maintain patient records and accurate information.

- Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) – Board of Nursing. Must be licensed and qualified to practice in the state based on assignment.
- Federal Drug Administration – US Department of Justice. Must be licensed and qualified based on state of practice.
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing. Must have an active license in the state of practice.
