Sales Associate

Part‑time Sales Associate at Five Below. You’ll be the first point of contact, delivering outstanding customer service while driving sales and ensuring the store is well‑stocked and welcoming.

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and making recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
• Promote store events, promotions and special activities to enhance the shopping experience.
• Resolve customer concerns, turning returns into exchanges whenever possible.
• Inform management of merchandise restocking, service requirements and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives, contributing to a positive working environment.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends and occasional overnight shifts.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, hand‑held and mobile devices.
• Good communicator who can engage customers and handle interactions courteously.
• Ability to gather information and solve problems using basic skills.
• Open to learning procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Frequently operate cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25lbs and place/removes merchandise up to a height of 5–10feet.
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Frequently position self in kneeling, bending, twisting and stooping positions, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers face‑to‑face and by telephone.
• Frequently move across the sales floor to assist customers and retrieve stock.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
• Must be able to read and follow written instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and SOPs.
