Aboutthe Role
As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will drive new business growth and ensure customer success within the Central West region in South Dakota. Your responsibilities will include executing sales strategies, building strong relationships, meeting ambitious growth targets, and acting as Halter’s on‑ground representative. You’ll prioritize daily efforts that optimize performance and drive value, sharing field insights with cross‑functional teams to keep our technology aligned with farmers’ needs.

- Prospecting new business through outbound lead generation and inbound lead follow‑up.
- In‑field sales, engaging potential customers on horseback or side‑by‑side while demonstrating Halter’s benefits.
- Expanding existing opportunities by identifying upsell potential and increasing value over time.
- Hitting sales targets through effective pipeline management and deal execution.
- Customer account management, maintaining relationships and addressing challenges through support.
- Territory ownership, engaging with local agencies and agricultural groups.
- Customer onboarding, ensuring smooth transition from sales to implementation.
- Field learnings & feedback collection to advocate for customers.
- Collaborating with support teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Attending industry events to generate leads and deepen relationships.
- Contributing to the US sales strategy and driving efficiencies.
- Driven attitude and strong communication skills.
- Ranching or cattle experience.
- Sales and customer success expertise.
- Territory management experience, ideally within agriculture or technology.
- Problem solving and collaboration ability.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
- Background in customer‑facing roles within agricultural technology.
- Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
- Annual USD $750 self‑development budget.
