HOME REPAIR SERVICE TECHNICIAN

DESCRIPTION:

Primarily responsible for repairs resulting from the delivery and installation of Governor’s Houses. The Governor’s House Program is a program funded by SDH, in which prison inmates at the Mike Durfee State Prison build low-cost, low-maintenance, energy efficient homes to income qualified individuals and families.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful candidate must possess excellent customer service and trade skills; experience working with a variety of clients; general knowledge of home repair and improvement; and the ability to communicate professionally. The ability to fix sheetrock cracks, siding, shingles and alignment of doors a plus. Successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED or a combination of three years of related education and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LOCATION:

Statewide, SD (travel within the state required)

STARTING SALARY:
Negotiable, minimum starting pay $23.56 per hour.
