Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Plains is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support safe, reliable operation of our pipeline and terminal assets. In this role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, and field instrumentation critical to crude oil and NGL transportation and storage. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, calibrate instruments, interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs, and support startup/commissioning. Working in a safety-first, performance-driven culture, you'll collaborate with operations and engineering while building a long-term career in midstream energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems on pipelines, terminals, and related facilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, PLCs, control panels, and field instrumentation
• Calibrate, test, and document performance of transmitters, analyzers, and control devices to meet regulatory and company standards
• Support safe startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities for electrical and control systems
• Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and loop diagrams to diagnose issues and implement solutions
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to ensure reliable, compliant facility performance
• Participate in safety programs, permits, and incident reporting to uphold Plains' safety-first culture
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation in CMMS and related systems
