Master Electrician - Industrial Installations

About the Role

Our client, a leader in industrial infrastructure, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Electrician to oversee and execute complex electrical installations in Pietermaritzburg . This critical role involves ensuring all electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the highest industry standards and local regulations. You will be instrumental in managing projects from conception to completion, leading a team of electricians, and collaborating with project managers to deliver exceptional results on time and within budget.

• Lead and manage all aspects of industrial electrical installations, from planning and design review to final testing and commissioning.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and components in industrial settings, adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately plan and execute electrical work.
• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
• Supervise and mentor junior electricians and apprentices, providing guidance and training on best practices.
• Ensure strict compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and company policies.

• Valid Master Electrician certification or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
• Proven experience in reading and interpreting complex electrical blueprints and technical schematics.
• In-depth knowledge of South African electrical codes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various industrial electrical systems and machinery.
