We are seeking an experienced Senior Trust Officer to oversee complex trust and fiduciary relationships for high-net-worth individuals, families, and related entities. This individual will serve as the primary relationship manager and fiduciary advisor for trust accounts while partnering closely with beneficiaries, attorneys, financial advisors, accountants, and internal teams to ensure high-quality trust administration and client service.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in trust administration, fiduciary principles, estate settlement, wealth transfer planning, and relationship management within a private trust, family office, or wealth management environment. This role requires both technical fiduciary knowledge and exceptional interpersonal skills to support clients through complex financial and family situations.
Key Responsibilities- Trust & Fiduciary Administration
- Administer a portfolio of personal trusts, irrevocable trusts, revocable trusts, estates, and fiduciary accounts
- Interpret trust documents and governing instruments to ensure proper fiduciary administration and compliance
- Oversee trust distributions, discretionary requests, account reviews, and fiduciary decision-making processes
- Coordinate trust account activity including:
- Asset transfers
- Cash management
- Tax coordination
- Account maintenance
- Trust terminations
- Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship contact for beneficiaries, clients, attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors
- Build and maintain trusted long-term client relationships through proactive communication and fiduciary guidance
- Support clients through sensitive family, estate, and wealth transition matters with professionalism and emotional intelligence
- Estate & Tax Coordination
- Coordinate with legal and tax professionals regarding:
- Estate administration
- Probate matters
- Fiduciary tax reporting
- Wealth transfer strategies
- Assist with estate settlement activities, asset gathering, and beneficiary communication when applicable
- Coordinate with legal and tax professionals regarding:
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure fiduciary accounts are administered in accordance with:
- Governing documents
- Internal policies
- Regulatory requirements
- Fiduciary standards
- Identify and escalate fiduciary, operational, or compliance risks as needed
- Maintain detailed fiduciary records and account documentation
- Ensure fiduciary accounts are administered in accordance with:
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with internal trust administration, investment management, operations, and compliance teams
- Mentor junior trust professionals and support operational best practices
- Participate in committee reviews, account discussions, and fiduciary oversight meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Legal Studies, or related field
- 7+ years of trust administration, fiduciary, estate, or wealth management experience
- Strong understanding of:
- Trust administration

- Trust taxation concepts
- Experience managing high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth client relationships
- Strong communication, relationship management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex fiduciary relationships simultaneously
- CTFA designation preferred
- JD, CPA, CFP, or advanced fiduciary certifications preferred
- Experience with in:

- Knowledge of Delaware trust structures and fiduciary planning strategies preferred
