JOB GOAL:
* To serve as an instructional and administrative leader of the school, to work with staff, lead learners, learners, and the community to ensure a high-quality educational program, and to advance the mission of Pike Road Schools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree with a major in educational administration/instructional leadership.
* Valid Alabama administrator
* Three (3) years successful experience as a classroom
* Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002O
* Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of modern education and ability to apply them to the needs of the
* Comprehensive knowledge of current curriculum and instructional practices and
* Ability to plan and organize
* Ability to plan and supervise and evaluate the work of
* Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
* Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a wide variety of people and groups, including, but not limited to, learners, lead learners, staff, parents, and community
* Knowledge of school law, Board policies, and school system
* Demonstrated skill in recruitment, selection, induction and assignment of
* Successful previous experience in maintaining effective
* Ability to plan and conduct faculty
* Physical mobility, dexterity, strength and visual acuity to meet student needs, deal with student problems and address building maintenance problems and school ground monitoring
* Ability to identify and solve problems as a productive team
* Ability to use and facilitate the use of technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial

TERMS:
240 day position paid in accordance with board approved salary and supplement schedule.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, goals and priorities.
* Assists in providing effective leadership in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the instructional program.
* Assists in interpreting and enforcing local, state and federal policies, regulations and laws
* Assists the principal in the personnel function (recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, evaluation, mentoring, etc.)
* Assists the principal in securing, maintaining and managing material resources.
* Assists in improving student attendance.
* Assists with scheduling and assigning students for instruction.
* Assists with extracurricular activities at the level assigned.
* Assists with the supervision of classroom instruction.
* Assists with the distribution and accounting of textbooks, technology equipment, and instructional supplies.
* Models appropriate and innovative use of technology for lead learners, staff and learners.
* Facilitates and monitors the integration of technology in the classroom.
* Assists with curriculum development and other related matters.
* Prepares reports, presentations, publications, or rosters as assigned.
* Assists with inspection of the physical plant and grounds and reports maintenance/custodial needs.
* Attends meetings, trainings, seminars, and workshops as required.
* Attends and assists with supervision of school system activities, events, ceremonies, and conferences as needed.
* Assists with procedures related to the health and safety of staff and students.
