Salary: $95,000 - $155,000 per year.

Our client is a well‑established and rapidly growing firm specializing in mechanical construction services for high‑profile commercial and industrial projects. They are known for commitment to safety, quality, and innovation, with a strong track record of delivering complex engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors.

The Mechanical Construction Estimator will contribute to a wide variety of mechanical engineering projects, focusing on mechanical contracting and HVAC, plumbing and piping installations. The successful candidate will estimate projects up to $10 million from bid to proposal, requiring deep understanding of the Baltimore, Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas and proficiency in Quote Soft estimating software.

• Developing accurate and comprehensive estimates for HVAC and pipe fitting projects.
• Utilizing Quote Soft Estimating Software to prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals.
• Conducting thorough take‑offs to understand the scope and requirements of each project.
• Preparing bid‑to‑proposal documentation, ensuring all financial and technical aspects are accurately represented.
• Collaborating with the project management team to ensure all project specifications and timelines are understood and met.
• Continuously monitoring industry trends and developments to keep estimating practices current and competitive.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
• Proven conceptual estimating experience, with a track record of delivering successful estimates for mechanical projects up to $10 million.
• Proficiency in using Quote Soft Estimating Software or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience with HVAC installation, pipe fitting, and HVAC systems.
• Strong ability to perform take‑offs and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
