Compensation

$145,000+ Base Salary (flexible for the right candidate)

• Build and lead an in-house accounting and financial reporting function from scratch

• Transition accounting and finance operations from outsourced providers to a fully in-house function
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process
• Develop and maintain executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI reporting
• Design, build, and automate financial reports that provide meaningful insights to leadership
• Extract, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple systems to support operational and strategic decisions
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and profit center reporting
• Build sophisticated financial models and business performance metrics
• Partner with executive leadership to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the organization
• Implement reporting best practices, data integrity controls, and scalable financial systems
• Establish internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting processes to support continued growth

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including Controller or senior finance leadership responsibilities
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, management reporting, and business analytics
• Proven ability to create reports from large datasets and translate financial information into actionable business insights
• Advanced Excel skills including complex reporting, dashboards, data analysis, and financial modeling
• Experience working with ERP systems, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and operational metrics
• Ability to communicate financial results effectively to executives, board members, and non-finance stakeholders
• CPA preferred
• Experience in healthcare, multi-entity, private equity-backed, or high-growth organizations is a plus

This is not a traditional  close-the-books  Controller role. We need a finance leader who can own the accounting function while also building reports, pulling data, analyzing trends, creating executive dashboards, and providing insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate enjoys digging into the numbers, creating meaningful reporting, and telling the story behind the data—not just recording it.
