It and POS Deployment Engineer

Job Overview

We are a franchise group of nine Ruth's Chris Steak Houses with locations in North Carolina, Maryland, and New Jersey. We are looking for team members who will deliver exceptional service to our guests and support the operation of our POS system. This role focuses on implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware, operating systems, and Toast POS systems.

• User/installer of POS systems specifically Toast.
• Installs hardware and troubleshoots hardware issues.
• Manages cloud‑based software systems and third‑party interfaces.
• Manages company IT systems and networking.
• Implements and monitors network security.
• Provides critical thinking and data analysis to communicate and solve IT related problems.
• Integrates and optimizes new and existing technologies.
• Interacts with management teams to provide immediate technical assistance whenever needed.

• Experience with POS hardware and associated peripherals (printers, monitors, mounting units, etc.).
• Previous deployment experience.
• Previous experience supporting, troubleshooting, and installing hardware, software, tablets, monitors, printers, and various peripherals.
• Quality cable management skills.
• Diagnostic skills for technical issues.
• Ability to multi‑task and adapt to changes quickly.
• Strong work ethic, strong communication skills, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work with teams and communicate within a team as well as work independently.
• May require minimal travel to sites.

• 5 years of IT/POS experience.
• Experience with Toast POS systems.
• 2 years or more of experience working in the hospitality industry, hotels, or restaurants.

• College degree in computer science or IT related field.
• College degree in food & beverage management with a minimum of 5 years of IT/POS experience.
