Job Description
Brothers Wright Distilling Co. is seeking an experienced Master Distiller to lead all aspects of spirit production, from grain selection to bottling. This role will oversee day-to-day operations, maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency, and help guide the development of new products as our distillery continues to grow. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, hands‑on distilling experience, and a passion for crafting exceptional spirits.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full production process including mashing, fermentation, distillation, barreling, aging, and proofing.
- Develop and refine mash bills, yeast selections, and distillation techniques.
- Oversee barrel programs, warehouse management, and aging strategies.
- Maintain strict quality control standards through testing and sensory evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with all TTB and state regulations, including accurate reporting and recordkeeping.
- Supervise production staff, provide training, and promote a safe working environment.
- Lead equipment maintenance planning and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate on new product development and assist with innovation in the spirits lineup.
- Oversee bottling operations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Represent the distillery at tastings, events, and industry functions when needed.
- Proven experience as a Master Distiller, Head Distiller, or senior distilling role.
- Extensive knowledge of fermentation, distillation systems, aging, and quality control.
- Strong understanding of TTB regulations and production compliance.
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage a team.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a production setting.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Passion for producing high-quality spirits and contributing to a growing brand.
