Position: Adjunct Faculty-KYCO (Clinical)

The University of Pikeville maintains a pool of part-time faculty who are passionate about teaching and student learning. This application is for a position in the Kentucky College of Optometry as a clinical preceptor and lab instructor.

We are currently seeking faculty in the following fields as well as faculty who can provide expertise in:

  • Primary Care
  • Ocular Disease
  • Specialty Care (Pediatrics, Cornea/Contact Lens, Low Vision)
Responsibilities
  • Providing clinical care at the various KYCO clinics while precepting students to aid in their development into competent optometric physicians.
  • Promptly completes associated patient records and student assessments adhering to all related deadlines and policies.
  • Tutoring and mentoring students as needed.
  • Regular and responsive communication with the Associate Dean for Clinics.
Requirements
  • Must have an OD degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience or residency training.
  • Must be licensed to practice optometry in the commonwealth of Kentucky.

Positions are available in the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Review of applications occur as needed within each division of the College.
