Field Services Technician

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to support users in the Pikeville, KY area and surrounding regions. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise and exceptional customer service, as technicians provide both remote and onsite support to end users. Key Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support for end users both remotely and in person
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software in Windows-based environments
• Support Microsoft technologies including Windows 11, Office 365, Outlook, and Active Directory
• Perform imaging, deployment, and system setup for end-user devices
• Troubleshoot hardware issues including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Handle software installations, updates, and general application support
• Provide basic network troubleshooting and connectivity support
• Manage and track incidents using a ticketing system
• Support device inventory, migrations, and equipment lifecycle processes
• Deliver excellent customer service while building strong relationships with end users

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in desktop / technical support or help desk environments
• Proficiency with:
  • Windows 11
  • Microsoft Office 365 (O365) and Outlook
  • Active Directory
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting, imaging, and deployments
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (such as Service Now or similar)
• Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in various physical environments as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-level environments
• Exposure to Exchange, mobile device support, and printer troubleshooting
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Pikeville, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
