Job Overview
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to support users in the
* Pikeville, KY
* area and surrounding regions. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise and exceptional customer service, as technicians provide both remote and onsite support to end users. - Provide desktop support for end users both remotely and in person
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software in Windows-based environments
- Support Microsoft technologies including Windows 11, Office 365, Outlook, and Active Directory
- Perform imaging, deployment, and system setup for end-user devices
- Troubleshoot hardware issues including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Handle software installations, updates, and general application support
- Provide basic network troubleshooting and connectivity support
- Manage and track incidents using a ticketing system
- Support device inventory, migrations, and equipment lifecycle processes
- Deliver excellent customer service while building strong relationships with end users
- Strong experience in desktop / technical support or help desk environments
- Proficiency with:
- Windows 11
- Microsoft Office 365 (O365) and Outlook
- Active Directory
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting, imaging, and deployments
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (such as Service Now or similar)
- Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in various physical environments as needed
- Experience supporting enterprise-level environments
- Exposure to Exchange, mobile device support, and printer troubleshooting
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
This is a Contract position based out of Pikeville, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
