Job Description
We are inviting applications for a Sr. Accountant in the manufacturing industry, located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, 71914, United States. The chosen candidate will be a vital part of our team, contributing significantly to the company's growth through accurate data processing, analysis, and transformation into information used for business decisions.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting weekly and periodic reporting of financial data
- Leading the review process of AR invoices, deposits, payment applications, and supporting documents
- Overseeing the review process of AP vouchers, payments, vendor creation, and supporting documents
- Recommending and implementing necessary internal controls related to AR/AP processes
- Performing AR/AP related period end account reconciliations
- Carrying out weekly reviews of inventory usage
- Conducting quarterly customer credit checks
- Leading the process of 1099 verification and submission
- Holding weekly meetings with direct reports
- Cross-training personnel for redundancy and maintenance of SOPs
- Developing and maintaining KPIs and dashboards related to cash flow
- Managing the hiring, training, and development of staff
- Overseeing the management of production data entry
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar capacity in the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
- Solid understanding of General Ledger management and Journal Entries
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with Month End Close procedures and processes
- Familiarity with Net Suite, Oracle, and SAP software for accounting and financial purposes
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is desirable
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
