Job Summary

North West Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is the largest community college in Arkansas. The Assistant Director of Testing Services will oversee all community testing operations, including exam coordination, proctoring services, certification examinations, and placement assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule examinations and testing services.
  • Oversee administration of community testing, including paper‑based and computer‑delivered exams.
  • Manage testing software and systems to ensure efficient operations.
  • Support the administration of NWACC placement assessments and classroom testing services in collaboration with staff.
  • Assist with training of all employees and development, organization, and maintenance of training materials.
  • Maintain the Marketplace website, ensuring accurate testing fee information and oversee processing of all Testing Services transactions (purchases and refunds) in accordance with institutional procedures.
  • Provide prompt, high‑quality customer service via phone, email, and in‑person interactions regarding Testing Services.
  • Monitor examinees throughout the testing process, enforce established security protocols, and administer examinations for community members, prospective students, and enrolled students.
  • Assist with administration and maintenance of the placement testing platform and train external sub‑site proctors.
  • Maintain and manage databases, spreadsheets, records, testing schedules, and software systems associated with community‑based examinations.
  • Manage office supply inventory and track purchase requests to support operational efficiency of Testing Services.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including occasional Saturday and/or evening coverage.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support departmental and college goals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a specialized or related field applicable to the work performed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience working at an academic testing center.
  • At least two years of customer service experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Self‑starter who takes accountability for performance with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time‑management, multi‑tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Student Information systems, word processing, spreadsheets, email, and other computer programs.
  • Effective oral and written communication with a diverse customer base in a welcoming and friendly manner.
  • Ability to build relationships with individuals and teams across the institution and community.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
  • Frequently manipulate items with fingers, including keyboarding.
  • Frequently sit, stand, and walk.
  • Constantly hear, perform repetitive motion, and talk.
  • Maintain close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, and visual inspection at close distances.
  • Work in a professional office setting with moderate noise, controlled temperature, and occasional visits to other areas such as storage rooms, conference spaces, or outdoor locations.
Compensation

Rate of Pay: $51,193 annualized. Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to the position.
