North West Arkansas Community College (NWACC) offers part-time faculty positions with term-based teaching assignments including fall, spring, and summer. Applications are accepted continuously and reviewed when openings become available.
ResponsibilitiesTeaching assignments on a term‑by‑term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer terms.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in English, or a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience.
- Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution.
- Demonstrated teaching ability.
- Instructional experience at a community college.
- Ability to use an online platform.
- Experience or interest in project‑based, service‑learning, or inquiry‑based learning.
Rate of pay: $765 per credit hour.
Physical DemandsEnvironmental conditions include moderate noise levels.
Physical activities:
Frequently manipulate items with fingers, including keyboarding; sitting, standing, walking. Constantly hearing, repetitive motion, talking.
Close visual acuity required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, or visual inspection at close distances.
