Position Overview
North West Arkansas Community College (NWACC) seeks qualified part‑time and substitute instructors to teach courses in Behavioral Sciences:
Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology.
Positions are available for days, evenings, and weekends.
Teaching assignments are on a term‑by‑term basis (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Postings close yearly; applicants must re‑apply each year to maintain their profile.
Pay RateRate of pay: $765 per credit hour.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs.
- Evaluate collected information and formulate recommendations.
- Compile information into report form.
- Deliver instruction in Behavioral Sciences courses.
- Master's degree preferred in the subject area taught or related field.
- At least 18 graduate hours in the specific discipline area for courses taught.
- Knowledge of organization and administration of higher education academic and social programs.
- Knowledge of campus and community resources.
- Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to academic programs.
- Frequently: manipulate items with fingers, keyboard, sit, stand, walk.
- Constantly: hear, handle repetitive motion, talk.
- Requires close visual acuity for data analysis, transcription, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, and visual inspection.
