POSITION SUMMARY The Allied Health Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, student support, and skills-based education for Arcare’s allied health training programs, including but not limited to the Practical Nursing (PN) Program and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) / Medical Assistant training initiatives. This position supports the development of a competent, professional, and patient-centered healthcare workforce by delivering didactic instruction, facilitating laboratory and clinical learning experiences, evaluating student performance, and assisting with curriculum implementation and program operations.

The Allied Health Instructor serves as both an educator and mentor, helping students build the knowledge, technical skills, professionalism, and clinical judgment necessary for success in healthcare settings. This is a part-time position working up to 30 hours per week, with scheduling based on instructional needs, program activities, and student support requirements. Instruction & Teaching
• Deliver classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or online instruction for allied health programs, including Practical Nursing and Medical Assistant/CCMA coursework.
• Teach course content using evidence-based educational strategies and adult learning principles.
• Provide instruction in both theoretical and hands-on clinical concepts appropriate to the level of the learner.
• Facilitate student learning in areas such as:
• Foundational healthcare concepts
• patient care skills
• clinical procedures
• medication administration (as applicable)
• infection control
• communication and professionalism
• documentation and workflow

• Supervise and instruct students in laboratory, simulation, and clinical environments.
• Demonstrate and evaluate hands-on clinical skills for competency and safety.
• Provide instruction and oversight for healthcare procedures and skills relevant to program needs.
• Reinforce safe patient care practices, clinical reasoning, and professional behavior in all learning settings.
• Collaborate with clinical sites, preceptors, and internal stakeholders as needed to support student learning experiences. Student Evaluation & Support
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes, exams, skills checkoffs, simulations, and/or clinical evaluations.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth and development.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, competencies, and student progress.
• Identify students needing remediation or additional support and assist in developing improvement plans when needed.
• Promote accountability, professionalism, and student success throughout the program. Curriculum & Program Support
• Assist with development, revision, and implementation of curriculum, course materials, lesson plans, and instructional resources.
• Ensure content aligns with program outcomes, certification expectations, and/or regulatory standards as applicable.
• Participate in program planning, quality improvement, and educational initiatives to support workforce development goals.
• Help maintain consistency in educational delivery across allied health programs.
• Support the development of new allied health training pathways as organizational needs evolve. Professionalism & Compliance
