Special Education Teacher in Pine Bluff, AR

Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the  academic year. Two unique opportunities are available, both full-time, at one supportive school site within a welcoming community close to Pine Bluff, AR. The positions include a 1st-6th grade classroom and a K3rd self-contained setting serving students with moderate to severe needs. Orientation begins in late July, and the contract runs through the school year, starting in August.

Typical workday hours are approximately 7:45 am–3:45 pm.

• State licensure as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility in Arkansas)
• Proven experience in special education settings
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively on IEP teams and with school staff
• Patience, empathy, and flexibility for adapting to student needs
• Previous experience with moderate/severe student populations is highly valued, especially for the self-contained classroom

• Designing and implementing differentiated instruction and interventions tailored to student IEP goals
• Maintaining accurate records, data, and documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Fostering a safe and supportive classroom community for all learners
• Collaborating closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families
• Participating in school and district professional development, plus scheduled orientation prior to the academic year
• Supporting inclusion and advocacy for students with diverse learning profiles
