Summary ofJob Duties
- Teach undergraduate courses in art history, art appreciation and studio
- Advise students
- Participate in grant development and implementation
- Maintain an active personal studio and/or research
- Assist with responsibilities related to the University Art Gallery
- Collaborate with the Department Chair on developing, implementing and evaluating the BS in art programs
- Recruit students
- Other duties as assigned
- MFA in studio art or a Ph.D. in Art History with 18 studio art graduate hours completed
- Prior experience in teaching preferred
- Ability to teach students in face‑to‑face and online modes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Substantial experience as a practicing and exhibiting visual artist
- Prior experience with museum and gallery operations
