Arts and Design

• Teach undergraduate courses in art history, art appreciation and studio
• Advise students
• Participate in grant development and implementation
• Maintain an active personal studio and/or research
• Assist with responsibilities related to the University Art Gallery
• Collaborate with the Department Chair on developing, implementing and evaluating the BS in art programs
• Recruit students
• Other duties as assigned

• MFA in studio art or a Ph.D. in Art History with 18 studio art graduate hours completed
• Prior experience in teaching preferred
• Ability to teach students in face‑to‑face and online modes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Substantial experience as a practicing and exhibiting visual artist
• Prior experience with museum and gallery operations
