Program Assistant / Teacher Aide
At Arkansas Early Learning (AEL), we deliver transformational learning programs to vulnerable children ages birth to five and their families throughout the State of Arkansas through Early Head Start and Head Start. AEL offers free infant, toddler, and pre‑K educational childcare/daycare programs serving 21 counties with numerous centers across the state. In addition to life‑changing education, we provide a wide range of child and family support services in a loving, caring, and safe environment.
As a Program Assistant / Teacher Aide, you will be an entry‑level team member responsible for ensuring comprehensive Head Start services are provided to children and families enrolled in the program. You will support center staff in creating rich learning opportunities that build on daily routines and support each child's development and education.
Education & Experience- 18 years old or older
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Assist staff in the implementation of daily learning activities and routines.
- Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all children and families.
- Support the delivery of the Head Start curriculum through observation, documentation, and instructional assistance.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
$15.00 per hour
