Federal Study Student - Peer Tutor; Heber Springs

Position Overview

The Advising & Learning Center on the Beebe Campus is seeking a Federal Work Study student for 15 hours per week during the Fall 2026 & Spring 2027 terms. This role supports student advising and resource management.

• Participate in study groups as needed
• Assist with office traffic as needed
• Assist students with checking out textbooks and calculators
• Assist with calculator tutorials and programming
• Perform any other duties as assigned

• Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required.
• Math tutors must have completed College Algebra with a grade of “B” or higher.
• Science tutors must have completed Biology, Chemistry, or Physics with a grade of “B” or higher.
• Business tutors must have completed Accounting I, Statistics, or Business Calculus with a grade of “B” or higher.
• A skills assessment is required.

• Additional tutoring experience in any subject area.

• Stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lifting up to 10 pounds, 25 pounds, 50 pounds, and 100 pounds.
• Ability to talk or hear.

Minimum $11.00 per hour.
