Location: Arkansas

Terms: Full-Time

This position involves applying civil engineering expertise to forensic consulting assignments for clients in sectors such as insurance, law, construction, and industry. The focus is on identifying the causes of damage or failure in structures and building envelopes, assessing construction deficiencies, and evaluating the scope and feasibility of repairs. The engineer will produce professional reports, present findings verbally, provide expert witness testimony when needed, and manage a portfolio of projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out investigations into residential, commercial, and industrial sites to determine causes of structural or envelope failures.
  • Analyse construction defects and evaluate whether damage is repairable.
  • Collect evidence on-site, including photography, testing oversight, interviews, and review of drawings or contracts.
  • Produce detailed reports that explain findings and outline recommended remediation.
  • Deliver expert opinions and, when necessary, testimony in litigation.
  • Manage multiple cases at once, coordinating with colleagues and specialists to meet client deadlines.
  • Uphold safety and professional standards throughout all project phases.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licence in the relevant state.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
  • 2–10+ years’ engineering experience, ideally with site investigation or project management background.
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on region.

Additional:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proven analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software.
  • Willingness to travel locally/regionally
