We’re partnering with a leading commercial/industrial construction and engineered building solutions provider to identify a Senior Estimator to lead complex bids and drive pricing strategy across large-scale projects.
If you’ve worked in pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), structural steel, or industrial construction
, this is a high-impact role with visibility across sales, engineering, and operations.
This individual will own full-cycle estimating for mid- to large-scale projects, leading everything from takeoffs and pricing strategy to bid execution and handoff to operations

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with profitability targets—while mentoring junior estimators and helping elevate the overall estimating function.
Key Responsibilities- Lead estimating efforts for PEMB, structural steel, and commercial/industrial projects
- Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to define scope and requirements
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs (framing, panels, insulation, trims, accessories)
- Build full project estimates including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs
- Solicit and level subcontractor/vendor bids and pricing
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
- Prepare bid packages, proposals, RFIs, and clarifications
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Operations
- Support project turnover and track estimate-to-actual performance
- Help maintain and improve estimating tools, cost data, and processes
- Mentor junior estimators and support team development
- 5–10+ years of estimating experience in PEMB, structural steel, or commercial construction
- Experience with large/complex structures (clear spans, cranes, mezzanines, hangars, etc.)
- Strong background in takeoffs, cost modeling, and bid strategy
- Proficiency with:
- Estimating software (MBS or similar)
- Excel (advanced preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in design-build or conceptual estimating
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar tools
