Job Description

Position: Electrical Engineer

Location: North Central, AR (Foothills of the Ozark Mountains)

Compensation: Salary $110,000 +/- Based upon experience plus Bonus

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school
• Preferred: at least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility
• Experience designing and specifying manufacturing support systems using pressure transmitters/switches, level transmitters/switches, temperature transmitters/switches, PH analyzers, flow transmitters/switches, oxygen analyzers, control valves with limit switches and positioners, motor starters, VFDs, and lighting systems
• Experience with 24V DC, 120V, 240V, 480V, and 2400V AC systems
• Knowledge of electrical area classification and determination
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated and self‑directed
• Excellent communication skills and ability to successfully work with people from all levels and areas of the company

• Legally allowed to work in the US without restriction

• Provide technical assistance, process improvement, and manufacturing support for chemical production
• Develop and prioritize process improvement needs
• Develop, implement, and support new processes for the site
• Provide cost estimates to determine feasibility of business development plans
• Design and plan layout of equipment
• Provide technical assistance, process improvement, and manufacturing support for Manufacturing, Utilities, and Maintenance
• Solve electrical engineering problems and distinguish between the relative merits of different plans and designs
• Troubleshoot and identify root causes of electrical and instrument problems

• Provide electrical engineering support for multiple areas of expertise which could include high voltage power systems, instrumentation, control systems, electrical classification, motor specification, lighting design, and process control
• Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations
• Work in teams or independently to increase production capacity, improve product yield, provide safer operations, or reduce energy requirements
• Apply sound process economics analysis principles to determine and document project values
• Evaluate and specify new electrical equipment and instrumentation
• Maintain awareness and ties to corporate technology and engineering resources to help implement projects
• Assist with definition and implementation of capital projects that will result in process improvements or increased capacity
• Manage several projects simultaneously and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders
• Follow safety and quality procedures
• Communicate with employees in any role group, as well as outside customers
