As an Ambient Field Technician, you’ll spend most of your time outdoors in a hardhat rather than in a cubicle, collecting data and supporting air monitoring activities.

The compensation range for this role is $25 to $30/hr, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. This role is part‑time.

• Assist in preparation, deployment, and testing/sampling of air monitoring activities.
• Independently and effectively assemble, operate, and troubleshoot ambient air testing equipment.
• Ensure project preparation is complete before going into the field, including preparation, cleaning procedures, repair, and calibration.
• Practice safety methods and procedures, and report all potential dangers, hazards, or unsafe work practices to the supervisor.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Assist with laboratory, shop, and equipment maintenance.

• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to work in industrial settings and outdoors.
• High school diploma through bachelor’s degree.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, with proven time‑management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of computer software such as MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to pass background check & drug screen.

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds several times a day.
• Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sun, rain, and wind.
• Physical demands of lifting, climbing, walking, and standing for prolonged periods.
