The Electrical Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in supporting our paper mill operations by leading capital projects focused on sustaining electrical infrastructure. The role is highly hands‑on, with a strong focus on project execution, troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams and vendors.
The ideal candidate bringsdeeptechnicalexpertisein electrical systems and thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The position collaborates closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational areas to ensure electrical reliability, manage critical spares, and support long‑term asset sustainability across the mill.
Do:
Recommend and manage electrical improvement projects (e.g., power distribution systems, crane controls,drivesupgrades, power quality studies, machine room equipment, cameras).
Address ongoing electrical issues andidentifycritical spares to ensure operational continuity
Collaborate with internal teams and interface with contractors and vendors to execute capital projects
MaintainaccuraterecordsanddocumentationusingSAPand Microsoft Office tools .
Monitorkeyelectricalparametersandidentifyopportunitiesforsystemoptimization.
Troubleshooting electrical faultsand makingrepairs to equipment and utility systems.
Support mill operations by ensuring electrical systems meet safety, reliability, and performance standards
Communicate effectively across departments to align priorities and share technical insights
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously,demonstratingeffective time management and prioritization.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineeringor Electrical Engineering Technologyor a related field is preferred.
Minimum 3-7 years of experience within pulp & paper, chemical, or oil & gas industries
Strong background in power distribution, controls, PLCs, drives, and high voltage systems.
ExperiencewithequipmentfromGE,Allen Bradley, and Westinghouse.
ProficiencyinSAPand Microsoft Office (Exceland Power Point ).
Experiencemanagingcontractorsandvendorsisaplus.
Stronginterpersonaland communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to work variable hours, including early starts and occasional late shifts when needed
Highself-motivationandaproactiveapproachtolearningandproblem-solving.
