Suzano is expanding its operations in the U.S. and is seeking an experienced Process Manager – Evaporator & Recovery to join our team in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This role is responsible for technical process leadership and continuous improvement across Evaporator & Recovery areas, including steam and power generation, energy recovery, chemical recovery, and water treatment. The Process Manager partners closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure stable, efficient, safe, and environmentally compliant processes that support overall mill performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong process engineering expertise with a collaborative, people-centered mindset and a passion for operational excellence.

Act as the process owner for Evaporator & Recovery systems, including recovery boilers, power boilers, steam turbines, evaporators, and water treatment. Ensure processes are operated within defined standards, targets, and best practices. Support optimization of steam, power, and chemical recovery to meet mill demands while maximizing efficiency and recovery rates. Serve as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting complex process issues.

Champion safe process design and operation, embedding safety into daily activities and standard operating procedures. Support compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, and local requirements). Analyze process conditions and incidents to proactively identify and mitigate safety or environmental risks. Partner with EHS teams on audits, investigations, and corrective actions.

Monitor process KPIs and operating data to identify gaps, losses, and improvement opportunities. Lead root cause analyses for process deviations, equipment upsets, and reliability issues. Develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reliability, cost performance, and sustainability. Support capital projects, startups, shutdowns, and turnarounds from a process design and optimization perspective.

Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Automation teams to drive aligned solutions. Provide technical coaching and mentoring to operators, engineers, and supervisors. Support training content,…
