Physical Therapy - Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Position:
Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with Vibra Travels. The role involves providing physical therapy support in hospital or inpatient rehabilitation settings while traveling to assignments across the country. You will assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and support treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Job Description

We’re seeking dependable, detail-oriented travelers who can help patients improve mobility and functional outcomes while traveling the country.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a hospital, rehab, skilled nursing, or outpatient setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current, valid, and active driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
Certificates, Licensures, Registrations
  • Current, valid, and active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required; AHA preferred and required by some clients.
Additional Qualifications/Skills
  • Experience implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Ability to assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and mobility activities.
  • Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical record systems.
  • Strong communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
  • Free from illegal drug use and effects of alcohol in the workplace.
