Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is seeking a Technician (PRN)to join our team! We are a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services, including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board certified physicians.

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment for each procedure.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning before surgery.
• Maintain aseptic technique and support the surgical team during procedures.
• Handle and track instruments, needles, and sponges according to safety standards.
• Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize instruments and equipment after procedures.
• Restock supplies and report equipment needing repair or replacement.
• Assist with training new staff and supporting quality improvement activities.

The incumbent in this position will assist the nursing/medical staff by providing skilled technical assistance during major/minor diagnostic and/or surgical procedures at LSU Health
- Lallie Kemp Medical Center in the Operating Room.

This is a PRN position, which is scheduled on an as-needed basis and does not include benefits eligibility.

This position is located in the Operating Room.

Shift will be determined by the Department Manager.

In addition to a $25/hour rate of pay, compensation consists of Shift Differential pay as well as compensation for being part of an On-Call schedule (as required).
